Exciting progress on our project for Handford Developments.

The Mannings Design Build team is bringing to life a cutting-edge carbon-neutral facility for Ipswich Borough Council’s recycling, street cleansing, and housing maintenance teams.

Situated off Hadleigh Road, the project features a state-of-the-art 1758m2 warehouse, a 2-storey 1294m2 office building, and a standalone 756m2 vehicle maintenance unit.

Our team has gone above and beyond, addressing ground contamination challenges and implementing innovative solutions, resulting in substantial cost savings on this £21 million project.

We’ve re-engineered the excavation, reducing overall excavation by 200mm and incorporating a sustainable approach to onsite material reuse. This not only minimizes the environmental impact but also significantly cuts the project’s carbon footprint by eliminating the need for offsite material disposal and reducing imported materials.
