Mannings Group Completes the new Decathlon Store Fit-Out in Dublin’s Clerys Quarter

Mannings Group is delighted to announce the successful completion of Decathlon’s third store in Ireland. The global sports retailer opened its latest store in the historic Clerys Quarter on O’Connell Street, Dublin, on Friday, 28 June 2024. The project marks another milestone in Mannings Group’s partnership with Decathlon, following the successful delivery of the first store and new Head Office in Ballymun, Dublin in 2020 and their second store in Limerick in 2023. The new Dublin store spans two levels, with a floor area of over 2,200 square metres, and will create more than 50 jobs in the area. Mannings Group Managing Director, Colm Delamere, attended the official opening alongside Elena Pecos, CEO of Decathlon. Colm expressed his pride in working collaboratively with Decathlon to deliver this significant retail space in such an iconic location. The fit-out project presented several challenges, including a 20-week programme that required crane lifts to install the new lift, escalators, and air handling units outside normal working hours. Additionally, our team completed the full fit-out of the basement and ground floors, ensuring the store was ready for its grand opening. The new Decathlon store features a wide range of departments, including running, swimming, nutrition, yoga, pilates, hiking, camping, cycling, urban mobility, fitness, boxing, GAA, soccer, golf, and tennis, catering to a diverse array of sports enthusiasts. We are incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and hard work, which ensured the successful delivery of this project.
